Retired military and former bodyguard to a media CEO here. Depending on how far he had to drive to the range, us older guys can be a little stove up by the time we get where we’re going. But after we get out and moving and warmed up we’re usually good to go.

Roger that. I'm a few weeks away from 70 now and... Well, you know. We aren't as limber and quick as we were.

We didn't get older by making the same young man's mistakes.

Great story! Long time ago, I was told; 'Beware the person with few guns, they usually know how to use them.'

I was very late to the 'plastic pistol'. 1911's, Hi-Power, S&W 4th gen Traditional Double Action. All perfectly valid in the 1990's. All will do just fine today.

Beware of old men in dangerous professions…they're either smart, deadly, or both.

I still can’t remember how to break down the M9 Beretta, but I can break down and reassemble the M1911 .45 with my eyes closed. Does that count for anything?

Of course! And the M9 is pretty easy. You'll get it again if you try.
